Aqua Yoga

As above, so below. Our planet is made up of more than
70% water, the same as the human body. We cannot
separate ourselves from this medium and if we open
our minds, we can even conceive of taking our asana
practice into the water; or using it as a starting
point to begin a hatha practice, especially if the
body has some bias.
In the right environment, with the right attitude, it is
possible to experience a sense of balanced awareness in
the water. Most of the water is done with the student close
to the pool edge to insure proper joint articulation and
for the teacher to have the best vantage point to guide
the student. It is suitable for pre-natal women, post natal,
people with arthritis and obesity, but not exclusively.
Everyone who enjoys yoga and being in a pool can be mindful
practicing yoga in the water.
